General location
5 miles west of Mount Storm and 18 miles east of Keyser. Traveling either dircetion on Route 50, look for BEST gas station on the south side of the street (left if going west, right if heading east). Turn onto Arnold Mine Road. Continue 1 mile and veer left up hill. Turn left on the first gravel road you come to. Continue 1/4 mile and pull into fenced area on left.

From Route 7
I-81 NORTH ramp towards MARTINSBURG
Continue on I-81 for 1.8 miles
Take the US-11/(US-50 W)/STEPHENSON(US-522 N)/WINCHESTER(VA-37) exit, exit #317
Continue on VA-37 SOUTH for approx. 3.5 miles
Take the US-50 exit towards ROMNEY/WINCHESTER
Continue on US-50 W for 70 miles.
At BEST gas station on left, turn left onto Arnold Mine Road. Continue 1 mile and veer left up hill. Turn left on the first gravel road you come to. Continue 1/4 mile and pull into fenced area on left.

From I-66 WEST
I-66 WEST towards FRONT ROYAL
Take the I-81 NORTH exit towards WINCHESTER, exit #1B.
Continue on I-81 for 9 miles.
Take the VA-37 NORTH/BERKELEY SPRINGS(US-522 N)/ROMNEY(US-50 W) exit, exit #310
Continue on VA-37 NORTH for 5 miles
Take the US-50 exit towards ROMNEY/WINCHESTER
Continue on US-50 W for 70 miles.
At BEST gas station on left, turn left onto Arnold Mine Road. Continue 1 mile and veer left up hill. Turn left on the first gravel road you come to. Continue 1/4 mile and pull into fenced area on left.

What you need:

Submitted and confirmed volunteer form, old work clothes (warm and cold-weather clothing), sturdy closed-toed shoes, large water bottle, towel, toiletries, flashlight, tent, warm sleeping bag and pillow.
If you like, you may bring tools to ensure you always have a job ;-).

What we have:

Food, water, camping area, hot showers, compost toilets, and beautiful views!
We may have some tents to lend. Please specify on your volunteer form if needed.
