A couple of weeks prior to the workshop, we met our excavator, Harold Kitzmiller at the farm. He brought his transit and we layed out the area with stakes and ribbon outlying the hut area. A complete description of each step can be read on Details and Drawings page (6/03).

Then, the hut floor was carved out two feet deep
 to allow for the installation of an underfloor french 
drain/gravel, insulation and a vapor barrier (6/03)

Jesse is overseeing sitework.
It is important to keep watch and make sure
 the backhoe isnt tearing away at the cliff
where you dont want it to. (6/03)
